Delayed production due to hurricane IDA and inadequacy of global shipping has led to rapidly escalating ethyl vinyl acetate (EVA) prices, as well as shortages in production inventories. EVA foams will be in relatively short supply for the foreseeable future leading to an increase in lead times and like pricing. EVA foams is a term that in many cases has been used synonymously with crosslinked PE in the past, so we recommend reviewing applications to ensure that the EVA blend is needed.
We announced several months ago that we were temporarily changing our 2lb XLPE inventory lineup due to the escalating costs and reduced availability of ocean freight. We will largely stock 2lb XLPE in a block size of 60″x72″ in the eastern half of the United States and 48″x96″ on the West Coast. These stocks will largely be limited to charcoal, grey, and natural color. We do continue to stock our Zotefoams, exclusive product WZ-30 (1.8lb/ft) in black, red, blue, and yellow.
